Middle School Baseball Players!  

Charlotte Stampede and Core Athletics have scheduled a special Fundamental Skills Camp just for Home-schooled Middle School players.  Tim Harrell, Middle School Coach of the Charlotte Stampede will be leading the camp.  Stampede High School players will be present, assisting Coach Tim.

All home-schooled baseball players in grades 6th - 8th (ages 11-14) are welcome to attend. This camp will be focused on fundamental skills development.  Lunch will be provided at 12:30 along with an opportunity to connect with Stampede Board members & other families. 
This will be a great opportunity for Middle School players to work with our new Middle School Head Coach Tim Harrell and Varsity players to learn more about the fundamental skills needed to play the game well.   Players should wear baseball pants and bring both cleats and turf or tennis shoes.  There will be time spent inside and outside so dress appropriately for the weather.
The fee for the camp is $25.00 and includes lunch and a Charlotte Stampede t-shirt.   Please complete and bring Middle School Player Information Form, Medical/Photo Release/Waiver, and Core Athletics Release form to camp. These forms are on our website.  Camp is limited to first 30 players.

Junior Varsity Coach: Justin Wallace

The Detroit Tigers drafted him in 1996 where he progressed through the organization to play for the Triple-A Toledo Mudhens. He also played in the Cleveland Indians organization for the AA Akron Aeros and the AAA Buffalo Bisons

David played college baseball at Duke University. As a four-year starter he was ACC All Conference in 1996, a team captain, and still holds several career and season pitching records. Earning a Bachelor of Arts degree at Duke, he completed a double major in economics and sociology and was listed on the ACC All Academic Team his senior year.

Charles graduated from Jay M Robinson HS where was a 4-year Varsity starter. He was All-Conference his senior year and the Team MVP batting .500 for the season. He played his college baseball at St. Andrews Presbyterian College located in Laurinburg, NC where we was a 4 year starter at 3B and holds the school’s record for most career starts and games played. He earned his degree in Business Administration.


Charles started with Core Athletics by coaching a Fall Metro team. He has since coached several youth teams within Core Athletics’ programs. He was also Jay M Robinson’s JV coach and a local showcase team coach. His experience as various levels gives him a unique vision to help players journey through their playing careers.

Meet our Coaches


Charles Weber is a Baseball Instructor & Youth League Director at Core Athletics where he oversees the development of young players. He has a passion to teach and relates well with the players.




Justin Wallace joined the Stampede program to coach the JV program in 2017.  Justin lives in Concord with his wife and two children; Marcus and Madelyn.  He is currently the pastor at One Life Church after 12 years as the lead pastor of Impact Charlotte at UNCC.  He coached baseball at Hickory Grove Christian School the last four years, last year as their varsity coach.  Justin played college baseball for Anderson University (Indiana) primarily as an outfielder.  He grew up in Scottsburg, IN attending Scottsburg HS where he was a standout at both second base and shortstop.

Sports, Inc. and the Core Athletics facility. His experience includes six years as a professional baseball player and 15 years as a youth baseball camp instructor.
